One of the batik patterns worn in a series of traditional Central Javanese (Solo) wedding ceremonies is the “Satriya Wibawa” Batik Pattern. The type of Ceplokan batik is rectangular with the center point in the middle, in Javanese teachings it is included in the concept of power which symbolizes the King. Satriya Wibawa has shown his dignity, his character is discreet. This batik pattern is usually worn when the prospective groom and his family visit the house of the prospective bride who is carrying out the “Midodareni” ceremony, but is not yet allowed to meet the prospective bride. The Satriya Wibawa Batik pattern means that the prospective groom has authority and wisdom so it is appropriate if he is chosen as son-in-law.
