Hey friends Museum, Keris Museum and Radyapustaka already opened on June 23, 2020, of course by implementing health protocols.

The Keris Museum, located in the Sriwedari Complex, adds to the number of museums in the city of Surakarta. The existence of the Keris Museum is a new tourist destination in the city of Surakarta. In addition, as well as education for people who want to know about the keris, this museum will also be able to show how the process of making and the history of the keris.

The Museum Building which has five floors, one basement floor and four floors above, the museum is able to display no less than 600 keris in its showroom. At present 336 keris blades have been collected, which are grants from community leaders and collectors both in the city of Solo and surrounding cities.

Facilities owned by this museum are also fairly complete. On the basement floor there is a parking space, then on the first floor is an audio visual room. There is a library room on the 2nd floor then the diaroma room on the third floor and the fourth floor of the keris storage which is the work of a master piece. For foreign tourists, don’t worry, there are already six tour guides, of whom mastering English and French.

Aside from being a tourist destination, the Keris Museum also functions as an educational medium for children or students. Not only related to the origin, but also how to make a dagger will be seen in the museum.
