Friday (08/23/2019) at the Museum of the keris, District Laweyan held a hadrah festival which was followed by each village in the region. The event was attended by various elements of the Surakarta City community and the Laweyan District Muspika. Hadrah Music is an Islamic music in Indonesia that must maintain its preservation, even until now the music of hadrah is still loved by the public and is often shown to be an alternative entertainment not only in an Islamic nuance but also a carnival or a wedding. For this reason, the younger generation, the Surakarta City Government invites to love and develop the music of hadrah. This is a manifestation of the commitment of the City Government in realizing Solo as the City of Sholawat. On this occasion the Head of the Surakarta City Regional Secretariat Government Hendro Pramono hoped that this event would provide a special color for the development of hadrah music in Solo City as well as a vehicle to add noble values, culture and personality to the Indonesian people. “Hopefully this activity can unite us, do not be divided and we show that Solo is a city that is safe, comfortable, peaceful, and prosperous and cultured. Thus silaturrahmi will not break forever,” he said. Make a difference a beauty, make a difference as a spirit to unite, because being united will make us progress.
