The art installation in Jayawijaya Park Mojosongo Solo is a fun, creative and artistic place for children and parents to enjoy. This Art Installation is a collaboration between Sculpture Artists from Jeju, South Korea, Kim Kidai and two architects from Solo, Dian Arifianto Budi Susilo and Galih Aji Priyambodo. The design of this art installation is inspired by the similarity of geographical conditions between Jeju, South Korea and Solo Indonesia. Jeju which has Mount Halla and Solo surrounded by Mount Merapi-Merbabu and Mount Lawu. This art installation is called the Jeju-Solo Joint Art Project to symbolize the friendship between Jeju, South Korea and Solo, Indonesia. Local artists from two cities, namely Jeju City, South Korea and Solo City artists who are members of the United Cities Local Collaborative artwork that integrates the cultures of the two countries, is a commitment of local artists of Jeju City and Solo City in developing the city by making installations art in public spaces. Collaborative artworks by the artists of Jeju City and Solo City facilitated by UCLG ASPAC, the result is a fun, creative and artistic installation of art for children and parents to enjoy. The collaboration of prominent artists, including those involved in sculpture, Kim Kidai from Jeju and two architects from Solo, Dian Arifianto Budi Susilo and Galih Aji Priyambodo, called Rini, have paved the way for cultural exchanges between Jeju and Solo that have been pioneered since 2017. After the exchange of young artists in the forum, he said, the two city governments agreed to start a joint project to encourage concrete cultural exchanges in the form of art as a reminder of the friendship of the people of the two cities. Regarding the art installation design, which was inaugurated by Solo Mayor FX Hadi Rudyatmo with the Director General of Culture, Sports and International Relations of Jeju Self-Governing Province, South Korea, Cho Sang Bum from Jeju and UCLG ASPAC Secretary General Dr. Bernadia Irawati Tjandradewi, Rini explained, the concept was inspired by the similarity of geographical conditions between Jeju City and Solo City. In Jeju City there is Mount Halla and Solo City surrounded by Mount Merapi, Mount Merbabu and Mount Lawu and is an art installation called the Jeju-Solo Joint Art Project “and symbolizes friendship between Jeju and Solo. He added, since the relationship between the Jeju City government and Solo City has held two events, namely Culture Forum in Solo City, in 2016 and 2017. Between Solo City and Jeju City are members of the Culture Committee at UCLG-ASPAC.
