The Trade Service in collaboration with the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) held a masking raid for traders and visitors to the Depok Market on Sunday (3/5). Before the raid began, an apple was held, led by the Head of the Trade Office, Heru Sunardi.

The Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) personnel stand guard at the entrance of Depok Market, if found visitors who do not wear masks are told to wear masks. In addition, officers also combed through the Market looking for traders who did not wear masks.

The Head of the Trade Office said that the raid was an attempt by the City Government to cut the spread of the Covid-19 virus. By making traders and visitors aware of using masks, this can reduce the amount of Positive, Patients under surveillance (PDP) and Oversight Person (ODP) until they run out.

The City Government has granted concessions to Depok Market slash traders who are free of retribution. It is hoped that traders and visitors support the City Government program by wearing masks, washing hands with soap and keeping a distance.

“If after the raid was found by disorderly traders and visitors, the Mayor ordered me to close the opium market,” said Heru Sunardi.
