Friday (06/28/2019) took place in the Smart Park of Soekarno-Hatta Jebres, Surakarta, the ranks of the Traditional Media Communication Forum (FK Metra) of Central Java Province, in this case the Informatics Communication Service held a selection of people’s performances. The Head of the Public Communication Information Division, Setyo Irawan, revealed the important purpose of this event was for the Javanese culture of Nguri-uri. As of now, the traditional art of interest is still lacking. “Therefore, let us herald together so that people love their own culture and arts,” he said. The event was attended by six city districts in Central Java such as Surakarta City, Pekalongan City, Semarang City, Magelang City, Banyumas Regency, and Pemalang Regency. Followed by remarks by the Mayor of Surakarta, represented by the Office of Communication, Information, Statistics and coding Kentis Ratnawati, said that the FK Metra program is proof that the Surakarta City government supports the preservation of cultural arts, one of which is an effort to introduce art and culture to the younger generation. Through activities like this, the breath of life in Solo City as a cultural city can be sustainable. On the other hand, the Solo City government hopes that art activities like this can decorate the cultural pulse in the city of Solo. To mark the selection began, the beating of the gong was carried out by the Head of the Surakarta City Statistics and Coding Information Communication Office.
